Shortcuts for the OS X Menu Bar and Dock
I’ve known for a while that Control + F2 gives focus to the Apple menu and application menu and that Control + F3 gives focus to the Dock. I always wondered though how you get to the right-hand side of the OS X menu bar, the Status menu, from the keyboard. Well, I just discovered that Control + F8 is a shortcut key for the Status menu. This is obviously handy for quickly getting to anything in your menu bar but one situation that I find it particularly useful for is fast-switching users from the keyboard.
